Dislocated Thoughts

Dislocated Thoughts invites you into the shadowy depths of Reyna Young’s mind, weaving a journey through haunting and evocative poetry.

“Dislocated Thoughts reads like a stormy breeze drifting through the window on a candlelit evening. The poems of Reyna Young are the whispered voices carried by that breeze, and in these breathtaking verses, the author shares her biggest dreams and deepest fears, all while holding a rhyme. By the end of this collection, you’ll be quite impressed that Reyna never ran out of rhymes, and you’ll be ready to hunt down more of her work! Highly recommended.”

When Darkness Falls

Dylan Sanders has been tormented by a dreadful condition known as writer’s block. The relentless pursuit of crafting yet another literary masterpiece has driven him to the brink of insanity.
His trusted agent, Nancy, has stuck with him through thick and thin, offering support and guidance in times like these. Yet even her unwavering loyalty could no longer save him from the impending doom of his looming deadlines.
As the anniversary of his wife walking out on him approaches, Dylan’s mind spins into a vortex of anguish. Sleep evades him, leaving him entangled in a web of haunting nightmares. A sense of dread hangs heavily in the air. But then a glimmer of hope emerged from his troubled mind. A plan began to take shape to demolish the barricades of his writer’s block.
His solution?
The notorious Lasery House is a desolate and abandoned house nestled within the confines of his town. Dylan believed that immersing himself in the eerie aura of this place would purge whatever malevolent force had entangled his creativity, enabling him to birth another spine-chilling tale destined for the realm of bestsellers.
Little did he know, however, that the house harbored profound secrets. They yearned to reveal the truth of its dark past. The murdered family within those cursed walls demanded to be heard, longing for someone to know the truth. As Dylan settled into the decrepit rooms of the Lasery House, an unsettling sense of familiarity enveloped him. Dylan’s haunted past begins to unravel, and he finds himself entangled in the clutches of the paranormal as the veil between the living and the dead is lifted, forcing him to confront the demons within him.

Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus

With an introduction by Reyna Young (horror host personality Miss Misery!) Frankenstein is an 1818 novel by Mary Shelley that was republished in 1831 in a more widely read edition. It is often considered to be the first science fiction novel because of how it combines real scientific research with some speculative elements. The novel also has elements of the horror and gothic genres. Shelley originally wrote the novel as part of a friendly competition to see who could write the best scary story. Mary’s husband Percy Bysshe Shelley, Romantic poet Lord Byron, and Byron’s doctor John Polidori were the other authors included in the competition. Polidori notably wrote a novella called The Vampyre, which was one of the first examples of vampire fiction ever written. Shelley’s novel is by far the most famous and enduring piece of writing to come from that competition, and it is still widely read today.
